On my way to Brownsville, I saw this sign to Peggy, Texas, but didn't take time to stop until my way back up on February 2, 2009.
I enjoyed the drive out to the little town (which was literally a post office and one other business across the street from that).
As I got out of my camper and realized how windy it was, I decided to go on inside first and take pictures later - which turned out to be a good plan,
since the post mistress closed up shop at 2 PM, just 10 minutes after I arrived. She was very friendly and had me sign a book of other Peggys who
had stopped to enjoy the coincidence. She gave me a handout that tells how the town was named (after an early postmistress named Peggy)
and sold me all the postcards she had (which was three) so I could send notes to family from my namesake. Altogether, it was a good stop.
