- February 2009
- The dance in Tuscon, AZ was fun - but for the first time on this trip, everyone was, briefly, a stranger.
- And for Valentines' Weekend, I enjoyed a three dance fling in Phoenix.
- I didn't get photos at the San Diego dance - but it was notable for a couple of reasons. See the third paragraph.
- Next weekend in Pasadena: Fiddling Frogs, with Contrazz!!
- January 2009
- I danced in Austin, TX: a small group but friendly and competent. I met a guy who had been to both Feet Retreat and Spring Dance Romance!
It was interesting to see that their "jam band" sat in a circle at the side of the hall. No photos :-(
- November & December 2008
- Glen Echo, MD has a beautiful venue and excellent dancers.
- And I had three lovely dances with my homebodies (Triangle Country Dancers in Carrboro/Durham, NC). The last of those had
the Owen Brothers as the band...
- ... and I danced to them again in Winston-Salem...
- ... and then a third time in Greenville, SC (with Heather)!
- And I finally got to a dance in Huntsville, Alabama, my real hometown!
- October 2008
- In Maine, I danced at West Falmouth and North Yarmouth, both fairly small but very friendly.
- Plans for the rest of the month include dancing again at all the great spots in NH/MA/VT,
and the Peterborough Fall Ball (a noon to midnight affair),
and the gender neutral dance in Becket, MA with the Groovemongers and Lisa Greenleaf

- I danced in Massachusetts (Greenfield and Concord), Vermont (Brattleboro, New Acadia, Montpelier), and
New Hampshire (Nelson). I wrote about these as part of my quest to become an Iron Dancer.
