A few photos from Cumberland Dance Week 2008

Lynn made beautiful signs - much nicer than my photo managed to capture.

Laura led the Community Band. They sounded great! The only problem was that when they played, the number of folks available to dance decreased dramatically :)

The "house" musicians were excellent; this is just some of them (George, Laura, Alice, Ben and Al). One night they played a beautiful waltz that Ben had just composed, called The White Rose. Look out for this guy - he's going to be making great music in the years to come.

There was a short community dance after the stretch session (which was a life-saver for me) which was right after breakfast. From here, the kids and adults each went off to their own programs, and met again for meals and then a community dance after dinner. It worked well.

Any dance that had ducking or skipping in it was a big win. Bob had the arches form in a random manner... but it sure seemed like the shorter people got to be arches first!
