Cape May, New Jersey

I liked the variety of colors: green, red, blue, brown.

The little red backpack is still my favorite beach buddy.

Are the same fences used for snow and for sand?

This was a very nice, out-of-the-wind spot at the end of the boardwalk.

It offered framed views of the beach...

...including fisherfolk on the jetty.

This shows how gray the day was, and the light house to which I was walking.

The view inland was interesting, so layered.

Finally: I caught the curl on "film"!

This shelf ran for miles. High tide mark, I guess.

This jetty seemed to be made from man-made stuff - see how squared off the edges are?

These houses look like they are hunkered down for the winter.

Beyond the light house a bit was this old wreck, just off-shore. I don't know the history of it for sure, but the folks at the camp ground said it was from WWII.

I was touched by their thoughtful suggestions, and amused by the misplaced semicolon.

It was late so I took the boardwalk all the way back, and this was my favorite house along the way. Perhaps the purple?

This was the view from the boardwalk.

This wedding-cake motel was in Cape May... and one of the few places open.
