We walked around Greenwich Village, where Peg and Hal lived (a few years ago :-)

I liked the pattern of black and brown on the side of this building.

It was cold enough to justify stopping for a hot drink at this little cafe, which Peg and Hal visited often.

They still uses the same china.

How's this for a fancy, uh, "cappuccino maker"?

We kept getting bad pictures taken by waitresses, so I decided to just do it myself!

I looked up a lot as we walked and noticed this cherub looking back.

The color on this building was pleasing, especially against that sky.

This was called the "Mews", which had been the stables, I think, or some kind of alley behind the fancy buildings.

I found the whole lane quite charming...

... but the red and black caught my eye especially.

And the ivy here was sweet.

I liked, again, the multiple layers of balconies.

Every now and then I'd stop and look up or down the street.

A famous arc.

This diner is well known - to the point that everyone I mentioned it to knew about it, if they'd spent anytime at all in NYC.

I didn't get a shot of the HUGE sandwiches, but they were great. Peg had tongue and I had pastrami... and we took half of it home!

We had time to visit Times Square.

It was less intimidating the second time through, and less rainy so I could take some pictures.

The ads are huge...

... and contributed to the daytime feel of the place.

Big MicroSoft!

Peg, and

me, in front of the statue of...

... oh darn. He had a famous line about Broadway. I'll look him up...

Peg and I were surprised that there was so little campaigning going on - but there was this!
