For the weekend, I got to visit with my cousin Karen, who was in Maine on business, and I
danced in North Yarmouth, a great example of a good local dance.
I stayed at the Moody Beach Outdoor World until Thursday morning Every day I walked the beach for several hours, sometimes
at night. After driving to the beach on the first day, I found a way to walk to the beach from the campground.
On my last beach walk, I was covered by a beautiful sky that competed with the waves for my attention.
I also worked on college letters of recommendation for some of my
juniors from NCSSM 2007-08. No photos of that :-)
On Thursday I drove back East for one last shot at those good local dances (Concord on Thursday, Greenfield
on Friday, Peterborough noon-to-midnight on Saturday, Nelson on Monday...) which I'll document in Week 18, although it's
quite a stretch to include Thursday in the definition of weekend. But what the hey: I understand that the four-day weekend is pretty
much standard on many college campuses...
