I got lost and backtracked, so probably walked more like 9 miles... and enjoyed 'em all.
IMGP3033.JPG
This was my first long hike in my new boots. They did great: saved me from several (slightly painful) events.
IMGP3046.JPG
The trail was mostly easy, and mostly well marked.
IMGP3056.JPG
This was the only aid over water hazards, but my boots did me well.
IMGP3047.JPG
This was a critical intersection through which I passed too many times :-)
IMGP3040.JPG
I got lost, so just scambled up some rocks until I got a good view (see?), then headed back down until I found the trail.
IMGP3041.JPG
Me, relieved to have made it to the top.
IMGP3044.JPG
Finally - a white blaze that I could follow to the tower!
IMGP3048.JPG
Ta da! The goal is attained!
IMGP3049.JPG
Lake Pawtuckaway as seen from the tower.
IMGP3051.JPG
Mountains, to the north, I think.
IMGP3052.JPG
Some red...
IMGP3031.JPG
This reminded me on an Escher print, with the actual and the reflected - but no fish underwater in my photo.
IMGP3061.JPG
This pond reminded me of the one at Guilford, and this photo reminds me of Mom's!
IMGP3062.JPG
The sun was really bright, giving this shot an airy feel.
IMGP3045.JPG
Strange tree configuration, I thought.

Someone enhanced this rock to make a face, either sad (with a little mouth) or happy (with a little nose and a big smile).
