Here's set of close up photos from this walk.
Only one "point" of the fort got built.	I wonder if this has been repaired over the years, or was it just built well enough to last for centuries?	This stairway is still quite visible, but I decided not to climb it.	The lumpy "inside" is probably not in the original design.
Peaceful looking tree for a battleground.	I lucked into this shot: I saw the dog coming and the geese sitting, and raised the camera and clicked without even looking.	This statue commemorates a union of white and reds which defeated some other coalition of whites and reds.	I took the photos because they seemed to want me to.
This was the view of Lake George as I left the battleground. I tried to remove the yield sign with iPhoto but it looked stupid.	This exit was rather charming.
