My new favorite contra dance T-shirt.

Swallowtail, 30 years ago. Factoid: they played at the wedding that produced two of the members of Elixir!
They haven't changed all that much: still happy and talented.
Yes: Becket, as in "becket dance". We had one full hour of becket dances in recognition.
This is the back of the dining hall where I helped with registration - a great job.
Fewer events happened here, but it is where I learned how to use the button making machine!
Few folks took to the water, but the dock proved to be a nice place for short afternoon naps.
The path from one end of the camp ("eat & visit") to the other ("dance & sleep").
My cabin was in the Ranger Village and was called Yellowstone. No bears, but lots of chipmunks. And it was musty enough that I ended up sleeping in my camper.
The dance hall. Beautiful, and a pretty good floor that got better as lots of knowledgeable folks worked on it.
The view from the balcony. This was a square dance, one of the few times that I sat out.
And I didn't do EVERY waltz.
Yep, there was a lot of dust in the air, due to the floor. That was my only negative comment about the weekend...
Elixir!
Elixir plus waltzers, including Ralph Sweet in the blue checked shirt. He was a strong force in the revival of contra dancing in America.
This isn't a great photo of George Marshall - except maybe it is, since he is a whirlwind of energy.
Not a great photo, but it's the only one I got of Swallowtail (minus George).
"Up and back"!
This and several others were taken by Beverly K of Maine... thanks!
I don't remember his name, but he was a great dancer!
It looks like I'm doing the twist!
George runs a great dancel -- and is a good dancer too! And Rebecca is doing a short version of my trip.
This old dance is called... uh... I think this is Petronella, from which the cool move is derived. Note the "proper"-ness (gender separation).
For the last dance on Sunday, we had some of all three bands on the stage . . .
... and we danced as if we were flying.
