The Riverwalk in San Antonio

Here's what the "river" looked like, with motels and eateries, etc. all along the way. The bridges were fun.

Graceful curves, thick ivy, and old stone work: this bridge gets painted often!

The folks driving these water "taxis" were like mini-tour guides.

Stars were a common motif througout Texas (the Lone Star State, remember?).

These bells were across the river from the Little Village of San Antonio.

This feels Aztec somehow. I don't know if it was art or if it had was functional at some time.

A little bit of a New Orleans feel...

This was an arbor of sorts. I just liked the pattern.

There were intersting benches all along the path.

So when will I meet this "art" with whom I am so often paired??

I was looking for a restroom and wandered into a building that was being refurbished. It had been a theater, and I think some of this is old lighting equipment... but maybe not. What would the big yellow wheel be for??

I spotted lots of these strings of Christmas tree lights and considered hanging around long enough to see them on. Good thing I asked - it turns out they only light them up in December!
