McKittrick Canyon in Guadalupe Mt National Park

For the first mile, the path was small bright white rocks.

This peak was ahead of me most of the time so I tried to get a good shot.

I liked the bleached tree and the green fern.

After I crossed a dry creek, a different mountain range came into view.

Yet another white tree against a blue sky.

See the moon?

Finally, a wet creek!

A little sitting area.

Here's what the terrain turned into

In a dry river bed...

... see the layered rock.
