Balmorhea State Park, far western Texas

I had a really pretty camp site.

Balmorhea State Park's claim to fame is its HUGE spring fed swimming pool.

A little science lesson...

This is just one wing of the pool...

... and this is the largest part.

I liked the idea of ducks in a swimming pool...

It sure made for a pretty twilight walk, but it was too cold to consider swimming.

Ah, the years I spent enjoying diving boards are long past.

The stone work all around was nicely done.

There were some really big fish in the water. I wonder if they allow fishing?

This is the biggest range I've ever seen posted at a swimming pool! See the moss covered stones at the bottom of the pool?

I found myself wondering about the person who created these tiles. Why " S" at the front instead of "S " at the end?

This is the most graphic - and therefore effective - diving warning I've seen. Ouch.

Nice big trees.
