I don't know what kind of bird this was, but it was showing off for someone. |
These birds (herons?) are so elegant - except when they take off. |
I saw (and heard) lots of turtles, but this was the only photo I managed. |

Armadillos were more common than squirrels on a college campus. |
It was hard to get a photo with the head showing since they spend their lives nosing around for food. |
