This was a truly lovely weekend - and it didn't even rain! I stayed with a host family who set a high bar for hospitality, and and felt genuinely welcomed by the community. The local dancers were friendly, the guest bands (Clayfoot Strutters and Great Bear Trio) were fun, the callers (Beth Molaro and Cary Ravitz) were talented - altogether, an exellent time. I don't enjoy "urban" weekends as much as "on-site" camps, but this was well worth my time and money. My thanks to Wm Leler for taking such great photos at this dance.
The first four photos below were taken by him and are used here with his permission.

This gives you sense of the venue. It was a very nice floor and the sound guy worked really hard to make it sound good too. |
Sue and I enjoyed a dance, and were also hosted by the same wonderful folks: many thanks to Gordon and Eliza! |
This was taken at the last dance; he was one of my many excellent partners - but I've forgotten his name. |

Carol and Jeff were "old" friends from Monte Toyon, who offered me a place to stay in Seattle for the Folklife Festival. Great people. |
The Clayfoot Strutters were energetic and interesting. Go to their website for some demo music - especially Honey Bee! |
The Strutters' piano player was great. |

The Great Bear Trio (mom and her two sons)... |

Beth Malaro came out from North Carolina as an emergency replacement for an caller who was injured - and did a great job, along with Cary Ravitz. |
