Some parks in British Columbia, 5/28/09
Bridal Veil Falls, then Cheam Lake Wetlands, both near the Fraser River

This British Columbia "Provincial Park" was a short drive from my campground.

It occured to me that this would be a great place for a family reunion.

It was a short walk, with no bears after all.

This shows how the park got its name :-)

It's always fun to try to catch moving water.

When I took this photo, I didn't realize that the roots on the right bank look so much like snakes!

Since Bridal Falls was so quick, I drove out to this other park which had walkways through some marshland.

I spent about an hour watching six hang-gliders between me and those mountains. Amazing.

I was surprised at how little animal life was in the water. Maybe it was too hot.

Note I'm still carryin.g the red backpack

It was hot enough to remind me that summer's coming.
