Other Views of Crater Lake


This was just around the rim to the left of the Lodge.

And then another few miles around the rim was this stop where I got my best shot.

This is my favorite layer photo.


You can see the roads were clear but wet.

The cone shaped hill is the result of a second eruption, hence the classic volcano shape.



The mountains look like my good old Blue Ridge Mountains.


This was my best cloud-in-front-of-the-mountain shot.

This warning was appropriate; there were so many places that just one more step toward the center would have sent me hurtling 1000 feet down into the water.

Wild white roses? They were barely hanging on in the cold and the wind.

This was the best I could do gettig a photo of the wooden poles they used here to mark the edges of the roads for the snow plow. Most places use plastic.
